Dr. Armstrong currently an associate professor and directs the online RN to BSN Program. She has 27 years of nursing experience, including clinical practice, nursing administration and 14 years in academic nursing education.

Her honors include the 2019 Betty Dickson Health Policy Scholarship and participated in Nurses in Washington Internship. She also was selected for the 2019-2020 Leadership Rankin program and the Mississippi Nurses Foundation Leadership Institute in 2018.

Dr. Armstrong holds professional memberships with American Nurses Association, Mississippi Nurses Association, American Association of Colleges of Nursing, and National RN-Baccalaureate Faculty Forum (NRFF).

She has many state and national service activities, including the NRFF Membership Committee, NRFF Social Media Committee, District 13 Mississippi Nurses Association delegate, and MS Nurses Association Health Affairs Committee.
