Dr. Willie Benson is the Chair and Assistant Professor of Information Technology. He also serves as Program Manager for the International Graduate Program, which now has over 700 students and continues to grow. He has over 30 years of Information Technology experience, including serving as an Information Systems Officer in the military.
Dr. Benson held numerous positions in the corporate world, such as Chief Information Officer, Project Manager, Information Technology Director, and Information Technology Security Manager. He also developed policies and procedures for higher education in technology that benefit how students utilize technology towards their education goals.
Dr. Benson is very passionate about using technology as a learning tool in higher education. He understands that technology is neither good nor bad; it is the intention behind its use by humans.
