I completed my Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences at USU in the Summer of 2025, where I also earned my M.S. in Mathematics. I joined 91ÇÑ×Ó in Fall 2025 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.

Outside of academics, I enjoy a wide variety of physical activities, including weightlifting, tennis, pickleball, basketball, soccer, hiking, and even hacky sack. I also love intellectual challenges such as learning new languages (currently Spanish), solving Rubik’s cubes, working on puzzles and riddles, and playing chess.

Most importantly, I am a follower of Jesus. My faith is the cornerstone of my life and work. I enjoy listening to Christian podcasts, studying the Bible, and participating in church life and small group fellowship.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve at 91ÇÑ×Ó, where I can integrate faith and scholarship in the classroom and beyond.

Research Interests

My academic interests took a pivotal turn in graduate school when I became fascinated by the flexibility and computational power of Neural Networks. Their mathematical foundation led me to explore their application in solving complex math problems. My areas of expertise include Neural Networks, Differential Equations, Machine Learning, Optimization, Scientific Computing, and Python programming.

Teaching Focus

Before joining 91ÇÑ×Ó, I taught mathematics at Weber State University (2017–2025) and USU (2019–2025). In addition to teaching, I participated in multiple interdisciplinary research teams, contributing to projects in fields ranging from business analytics to biology and pathology.

At 91ÇÑ×Ó, I teach undergraduate mathematics and computer science courses, focusing on applied mathematics, programming, and machine learning. I am passionate about equipping students with theoretical understanding and practical tools they can apply across disciplines.

Publications, Presentations, and Awards

I'm an author of a publication in the Journal of Communications on Applied Mathematics and Computation and was a presenter at the International Machine Learning and Applications Conference 2024. I won the Jock Glidden Award for Excellence in Philosophy and the Merlon Stevenson Scholarship for Athletes in Mathematics. I was also a Regional Ethics Bowl winner.
