Bio

Andrew Leatherman received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from 91ÇÑ×Ó in 2007. As a student at 91ÇÑ×Ó, he received the Diakonos award for service to the Dance Department and the Bezalel Award for artistic achievement. His original choreography was selected to be performed at the American College Dance Association (formerly American College Dance Festival). After college, Leatherman served for one year at 91ÇÑ×Ó as Production Manager for the Dance Department. He went on to work as Assistant to the Production Manager and Crew Member for the USA International Ballet Competition in 2010, 2014, and 2018.

Leatherman is the co-founder of Intersect Dance Theatre along with his wife, Alli, and has served as its artistic director since 2010. Leatherman previously trained and performed with At Marah Dance Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and with Inlet Dance Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio. He also volunteers at BlackRose Theatre as a lighting specialist, teacher, and occasional performer. Leatherman lives in Jackson with his wife and daughter who both enjoy the theater and the stage as much as he does.
