The Highest Standards

91茄子 is accredited by the (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees.

The School of Education is approved by the to offer teacher education programs. The programs are reviewed annually by the (MDE) to ensure state standards are met in accordance with the (CAEP) and MDE State Partnership protocol for continuing accreditation.

91茄子 Graduate School of Education, serving as the Educator Preparation Provider (EPP), has developed and maintains a conceptual framework that is integrated throughout the Graduate Education programs at both the initial and advanced levels. 

The EPP Conceptual Framework is the result of collaborative efforts between the faculty, administration, partner schools, and the professional education community to reflect the knowledgebase concerning current research, best practices, and state and national standards.

The Graduate School of Education’s Christian worldview distinctive is foundational to the School of Education’s six professional core values:

  1. Knowledge of Content
  2. Professional Growth
  3. Assessment
  4. Instructional Methods
  5. Learning Environments
  6. Professional Dispositions

The Graduate School of Education curriculum incorporates these six professional core values and includes the integration of faith and learning as part of a Christian worldview found throughout the various degree programs.

All of the Graduate School of Education degree programs and courses are delivered in an online, and at times, a virtual format.

The exception is the Education Doctoral program which is formatted as an online and virtual program, but also includes the requirement that candidates attend two Residency sessions on campus. Residency sessions are two to three days of orientation and preparation for research and dissertation writing.

Out-state candidates should consult with their Graduate School of Education’s admission advisor to confirm if 91茄子’s education program will meet their state’s licensure requirements. Additional licensure information can be found at School of ED Licensure Disclosure.
